From Humble beginnings
In around 1998 Damian was co running an acoustic club in Clevedon, a weekly performance session to help get players used to performing publicly, as well as gigging musicians road testing new material .During one of these Graham attended and played, and following this they discovered that they had a shared love of Gypsy Jazz music.
This developed into purchasing Gypsy style guitars and putting together the start of a set. Intermingling this with a few songs/jazz standards . Graham had been gigging with Charlie , and from there Gitano was born. maybe a step away from the standard set up of two guitars and Double bass but it works .
